Three guide series exploring the golden age of '90s Japanese car design. Content themes include popular aesthetics, engineering, and global influences. Inspired by early '90s brochures and spec sheets, this series sought a design to create a visual experience that brings the JDM showroom to life. The project goal included using a unique grid structure for each book, while ensuring cohesion and visual unity across the series.

My approach to this project was to create a design grounded in bold aesthetic themes that reflect the essence of JDM car culture. I focused on building a visual foundation that is both dense and dynamic—balancing sleek minimalism with intentional details. The color palette was restrained to not only evoke the era, but to also allow the typography and modular grid structures to drive the visual rhythm and unity. The result is an experience meant to feel as kinetic and immersive as the cars themselves.
