A three-book guide series exploring the 1990s era Japanese car design and culture. The primary challenge was to create three distinct guides, each with its own unique grid system, while cohesively capturing the dynamic spirit of JDM culture.
Content themes include popular aesthetics, engineering, and global influences. Inspired by early ‘90s brochures and spec sheets. My approach to this project was to create a design grounded in bold visual themes that reflect the essence of JDM car culture. Using bold typographic application with a restrained color palette, rhythm and experiential storytelling carry the visual narrative. The pursued result is an experience designed to feel as kinetic and immersive as the cars themselves. Designed with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
