Guided study and exploration on the rules and principles of print production, including technical specifications with color processes, pixel resolution, tactile materials, and instructional design. The project goal included developing an emotional ambivalence as the driving theme for the visual aesthetic and design of the book. This book utilized the ambivalence "Silent Exposure".

My approach to this project was rooted in the emotional duality of "Silent Exposure"—a reflection on my Chinese-American heritage and the presence of congenital bipolar disorder in my family. Growing up under the influence of American cultural norms, I often kept my heritage quiet, tucked away beneath layers of assimilation. This project became a means to reconnect with my family history, using the lens of bipolar disorder to explore the often-unseen deviations from what is considered "normal."
On the surface, the design may appear structured and cohesive, but a closer look reveals intentional inconsistencies and subtle "mistakes"—a quiet resistance, symbolizing the inner dissonance many endure in silence due to cultural pressure and mental health stigma.
